2016 BET Award Winners & Performances

The BET Awards were lit tonight at the Microsoft Theater, where the best of the best artists came together for the show and we got to experience the sickest performances from Gucci Mane, T.I., Desiigner and more! Plus the show was ‘All the Way Up’ with host, DJ Khaled nabbing the MVP of the Year and Hustler of the Year making sure to inspire to stay away from ‘THEY’!

Other artists bringing home awards included Kendrick Lamar with the Lyricist of the Year, Beyonce for Best Female Pop/ R&B Artist, Fat Joe and Remy Ma taking the award for Track of the Year on “All the Way Up” And of course Drake, who racked in 14 BET nominations rolled out with 4 awards for Best Group with Future, Best Collaboration with Rihanna, Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Album of the Year, “Views”. With recognition to the up and comers, Chance the Rapper winning Best New Hip Hop Artist and Bryson Tiller as Best Male Pop/R&B Artist.

Among the many winners of the night we also had Snoop Dogg, winner of the ‘I Am Hip Hop Award’, who gave an emotional speech inspiring the hip hop youth to always be themselves and exclaiming how he is ‘loving how hip hop is uniting people all over the world and happy that the younger generation can look at him as Uncle Snoop and be a mentor to the newcomers’.
