Mac Miller has worked with a lot of artists on his upcoming album The Divine Feminine but when asked about how it was working with lyrical genius, Kendrick Lamar, he described it as a “journey”. The Pennsylvania raper sat down with Zane Lowe from Beats 1 and talked about the experience of creating “God Is Fair, Sexy, Nasty”. He said that he enjoyed working with Kendrick since he is such a creative mind and they were able to create something special together.
Although there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the upcoming release of this track and album, this isn’t the first time that this duo has worked together. Mac explains, “We did a record in 2012 on this mixtape I had, And there was actually a time when Kendrick Lamar was opening for me on tour. But this one it feels just like a moment”. Since the track that Mac and Kendrick worked on together in 2012, “Fight The Feeling”, was super dope, I know this new track will likely be just as good if not better.
The Divine Feminine is officially dropping tomorrow with features from Kendrick, Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign, of course his boo Ariana Grande, and more. Make sure you cop the album on iTunes to checkout all these dope collabs.
