The Atlanta Hawks are hosting a NBA Unity game on October 10th against the Cleveland Cavaliers according to a press release that came out earlier today. The Hawks players are going to be participating in various community charities leading up to the game and will be part of the 46th Atlanta Pride Festival. During the game videos will be played consisting of the players explaining what they think unity means.
The idea of having this Unity game originated from a meeting they held on July 19th of this year after the police killed two black men and protestors shot at police officers. The Atlanta Hawks wanted to be a part of the movement for peace and do their part to help improve race relations in our country.
