Lil Wayne Opens Up About Retirement Tweets, Birdman, and Racism

Lil Wayne shocked everyone the other week when he posted a frustrated tweet which hinted that he was contemplating retirement.  Since then various artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Rick RossChance The Rapper, Missy Elliot, and more have responded with their support and opinion about Lil Wayne even mentioning retirement.  This infamous Lil Wayne retirement tweet has been circulating all over the internet  for the past few weeks.

Today Tunechi revealed the reasons behind those tweets on FS1’s “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless.  The legendary rapper explained that this tweet was sent while he was heated after an argument he had with Cash Money owner, Birdman.  He stated that he posted those words on twitter because he felt that way, still feels that way, and will not work with Birdman ever again.  In regards to whether or not Weezy is retiring he says that he is continuing to work in the studio and he has not reached the peak of his career yet.

Skip also asked Lil Wayne how he feels about the race relations in America right now and Wayne said he has never experienced racism.  Wayne explains that he is very blessed and is extremely thankful that he hasn’t dealt with any racism although he is aware of the many racial issues that face the country right now.
