“The Simpsons” is honoring hip-hop in their first ever hour long episode. The show is celebrating their 28th season with this episode titled “The Great Phatsby”. The episode is all about Mr. Burns’ relationship with the legendary hip-hop artist “Jay G”.
Empire’s Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key from Key & Peele will be featured on the hip-hop episode as a Cookie Lyon inspired character named Praline and rapper Jazzy James. Jim Beanz, Empire’s music producer, will be producing the hip-hop music for the episode.
Although this is “The Simpson’s” first hour long episode, it is not their first hip-hop themed show. The popular show aired an episode called “Pranksta Rap” in 2005 where Bart becomes a rapper and becomes friends with 50 Cent.
