You know what time it is?! It’s time for my Throwback Track!
This week my pick is the classic west coast banger:

2pac ft. Snoop Dogg – “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted”

Just listening to the song itself you know why it is a classic, but here are some reasons why this track will always be a Hip Hop classic:

The Track Features Two Hip Hop Legends:

Not only does the song have an amazing beat, it features two classic Hip Hop legends: 2pac & Snoop Dogg. 2Pac was the speaker of the streets and really was not afraid to discuss topics like police brutality. Snoop was laid-back and smooth and added a little extra funk to every track. In ’96, both of these controversial rappers together on one track was so big. This song still bumps because legends never die.

Music Video:

The music video was Scarface inspired and had some interesting parts to it. The video featured characters that resembled Puff & Biggie during a really controversial time in Hip Hop history. The video had “2 of the best from the westside” and showed Pac & Snoop having a fancy feast in-between images of cops trying to find them.

Tupac’s Last Performance:

“2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” was so powerful then and still is now. It is rumored that the song was performed at the last known concert that Pac & Snoop played together before Pac’s death. Tupac’s hologram performed the track with Snoop at Coachella in 2012.
