Some of the most popular videos on Youtube including Drake’s “God’s Plan” and Cardi B’s “Bartier Cardi.” were hacked into this week.
Hackers going by the names Prosox and Kuroi’sh were able to access Youtube’s most popular video Luis Fonsi’s hit single “Despacito.” Hackers replaced the still photo with an image from a scene from Netflix’s Money Heist. Titles to videos were changed to messages like “Hacked by Kuroi’SH & Prosox,” while the descriptions of some were altered to read, “Free Palestine.”
A Twitter user with the handle ProsoxW3b claimed partial responsibility and commented on the intention behind the hack. Check out the tweets below. The titles for the various videos on VEVO have since been corrected and “Despacito” is now up and running.
@Vevo You have all my respect but do not leave the control to your site to any developer did not take into account this hacking it was a fun if we would like to harm your customers we would delete all the video but I did not delete despacito must believe me
