On September 14, Rihanna will be throwing her third annual Diamond Ball in New York City at Cipriani Wall Street. The event will raise funds for the Clara Lionel Foundation, which fights against “injustice, inequality, and poverty” providing access to education and health. RiRi recruited comedian, Dave Chappelle, to host the ball and Kendrick Lamar to perform. In a statement, Rihanna said, “I’m thrilled that the incomparable Dave Chappelle will kick things off as the official host of this year’s Diamond Ball and Kendrick Lamar will take the stage for an unforgettable performance. I’m proud of the Clara Lionel Foundation’s significant impact in the world over the years and deeply grateful for the continued support and commitment to advancing our mission.” It’s great to see Bad Gal RiRi channel “Good Gal RiRi” with philanthropic events like these.
