Vince Staples recently ripped through his L.A. Leakers freestyle where he took on the Dr. Dre classic “Xxplosive”, and while he dropped some personal bars about coming up in Cali, the Long Beach native’s forthcoming music is a complete reflection of where he is in life and how he’s placing his experiences at the forefront of his career.

Speaking with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk, Staples details how upcoming his self-titled project came together after friends like Tyler, The Creator and Alchemist convinced him to share his stories in a more concentrated form in his music.
