SSG Splurge Drops ‘Goop Tape’ w/ 7 Producers & No Features [LISTEN]

Splurge is the hottest rapper to come out of Arlington, Texas. The rising rapper has been killing the rap game independently, with no major label push or gimmicks. At only 18 years old, Splurge boasts over 328K followers on Instagram, growing fans on the daily. His motto: get money, spend money. It was his 2018 single “Intro Part 2” that went viral as he effortlessly pushed his way from the underground towards the mainstream light. The song’s official music video hails over 8.3 million views and counting.

One thing about Splurge’s music is that no one else sounds like him. His rapping is unique and tailored to Splurge, bringing to the microphone real-life experiences of him and his homies growing up in the hood. For Splurge, music quickly went from hobby to a career once he realized his own talents.

Now, he returns with his brand new project titled Goop Tape, a 13-track tape with no features. Working with seven different producers, Splurge unofficially declares each song is a banger. In an exclusive quote to Power 106, Splurge states, “This tape got the most different type of beats that I ever been on.”

Crazy part is, Splurge was locked up when the album actually dropped. With again, no real promotion, Goop Tape founds its way to Top 50 albums on Apple Music. So far, he’s dropped three music videos for “Brock Lesnar,” “Buzz lightyear,” and most recently “Goopy Me.” The new project follows Splurge’s latest project, Glen Baby 2,released in October of last year.
