#CaliChristmas Artist Joey Bada$$ Covers Jay Z’s ‘Dead Presidents’ On BBC Radio 1

#CaliChristmas artist Joey Bada$$ hit up BBC Radio 1’s studios to perform a few intimate renditions of some of his All Amerikkan Bada$$ album cuts.

Performing with U.K. artist Dave, the rapper flowed over an acoustic piano for the performance of Babylon and Amerikkan Idol.

Lifted from his most recent album, which was released back in April, the Brooklyn native also paid tribute to his New York roots and covered fellow Brooklyn rapper, Jay Z, with a performance of the icon’s 1996 Dead Presidents track.

In the clip, the duo perform in an alsmost pitch black room, with Joey opening his Amerikkan Idol track with the the throwback track.

The #CaliChristmas artist raps in both segments about racial injustice and the current state of America.
