In their conversation, Alex explains that her project, “The Hurt Book,” is essentially about going through adult puberty and the emotional experiences associated with that process. “For myself it was originally about situation-ships I’ve experienced through the years, but then I came out to LA and my experiences started to change and relationships started to change…” she says. ‘The Hurt Book’ essentially incorporated all of the emotions she had felt up to this point in her life. “For the ‘Homegirl Pack,’ I wanted to just kinda like add some fun glitter to that whole process and just include other women that I admire who are also kinda going through those same motions”
