Ella Mai’s latest album release ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ is a transparent and introspective project that has transformed the R&B songstress into a more confident woman and artist. 

The sophomore project highlights Mai with more creative control where she put “self-doubt” behind her, as she admits to Power 106 Midday host Bryhana that she was more involved in the writing process for ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ and the reaction of her fans affirms that her recent experiences are the story that many can relate to. As Ella highlights a tennis hobby that helps her stay centered with her mental health, the UK native reveals that she experienced writer’s block for about two weeks while making the album but was able to pull herself out of the self-doubt she was going through.
