Travis Scott Accused Of Violating Gag Order In Astroworld Festival Suit

This past November, tragedy struck when a total of 10 Travis Scott fans lost their lives during the annual Astroworld Festival that went down in Houston, Texas. As the aftermath of the devastating music event continues to unfold, rapper Scott has since launched his $5 million Project HEAL initiative, which focuses on event safety, but the “Better Believe” artist is facing new accusations in the festival trial.

Lawyers for the victims’ families have called out Trav for violating a gag order with the announcement of Project HEAL. According to new reports, Bob Hillard, the attorney representing 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim who sadly died during the festival, claimed that Scott’s announcement addressed concert safety, which is one of the main concerns of the lawsuits. While State District Judge Kristen Hawkins made it clear that no lawyers should make a case on social media or any other platforms, Hillard believes that Scott went against the order with his announcement. 

Scott’s attorney Stephen Brody pushed back against the new accusations stating that Travis has a history of giving back to his community and argued that preventing Scott from speaking on any issue is a violation of his free speech. 

Modifications to the gag order are expected to be presented in the next couple of weeks.
