As we all faced the reality of the world changing before us, adjusting to life and the harsh times of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Khalid was no different in his 2020 experience, which ultimately left him inspired and full of gratitude.

The 23-year-old singer, songwriter tapped in with Power 106 Midday host Bryhana to discuss his forthcoming album ‘Everything Is Changing.’ While many of us felt the effects of being on lockdown, Khalid explains that the 2020 experience allowed room for personal growth as he gained more self-confidence and an appreciation for the now.

While his current single “New Normal” directly reflects the changes we’ve all experienced, it was Khalid’s pandemic transformation that led him to his new energy. The singer tells Bryhana that he switched up his diet and went plant-based and lost 60lbs and looks out more for his health. With new lessons learned about himself, Khalid confesses that more of his personality gets shown on his Tik Tok account, which mostly shows him enjoying life with his close friends. He shares that dealing with being in the public eye has helped him learn how to protect his energy.

Khalid goes on to share his experience performing at the Virgin Galactic Spaceflight, shows support for his friend Normani, what fans can expect from his new album, and much more.
