Kanye West was a recognized Kobe Bryant fan. He was in the building for Bryant’s final game back in April of 2016.

Sunday afternoon, society began mourning the shocking deaths of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant, reacting to the news as details broke.

“Kobe, We love you brother,” Ye Tweeted, “We’re praying for your family and appreciate the life you’ve lived and all the inspiration you gave.”

Kim Kardashian also took to Twitter to say, “My heart is so heavy. No one should ever experience what the families involved are going through. This has affected us all so much but I cannot begin to imagine what Vanessa is feeling losing her husband and her baby girl. I cry just thinking about it.”

West held a post-Grammys Sunday Service at midnight in Burbank, California to begin the healing process. Kirk Franklin seemed to be in attendance, along with Chance The Rapper who performed his verse on “Ultralight Beam.” Kanye then free-styled a tribute verse in honor of Kobe.
