Summer Walker has made history with her first studio album, Over It.
‘Over It’ collected 134,000 first-week equivalent album units. That total was partially made up of 155 million on-demand audio streams. This makes it the largest streaming week ever for an R&B album by a woman, surpassing Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ (115 million). Among all acts, it comes in second only to The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy,’ which earned 175.2 million on-demand streams in its debut week.
“Wow..just found out ‘Over It’ is the biggest debut album from a female r&b artist in over 10 years and had the biggest streaming week for a female r&b artist ever 🖤🖤 thank y’all so so much for the love & support 🏾 y’all got us breaking records and sh*t!!! and special thank u to @londonondatrack & @lvrngram @interscope we makin history 🥂,” wrote Walker on Instagram.
