The first lady of R&B signed to Quality Control, Layton Greene, stopped by the L.A. Leakers to discuss her anticipated EP ‘Tell Your Story’ release, artists who inspired her coming up, her reaction to Kylie Jenner listening to her current single, and all the wack DMs she gets on Instagram.

Layton of course just signed with QC which is HUGE. “Man it’s amazing like, it’s definitely a blessing. I feel like I’m making history of course. And having a team that’s so supportive, it’s just like a family, everybody showin love,” the St. Louis native explains.

As far as if it’s intimidating being signed to a label with such a huge roster, “It motivates me to go harder,” she starts. “I feel like I put the pressure on myself, especially being the first R&B act, because a lot of people looking at me like ‘Ok why they sign her? And what can she bring?’ But they definitely make me feel confident. You know what i”m saying? They really believe in me.”

For those who don’t know, Greene says she’s been signing all her life; but didn’t start taking things seriously until she went viral with her cover of Kodak Black’s “Roll In Peace” back in 2017. Layton is definitely a star with a bright future ahead of her!
