“I wanna thank me,” Snoop Dogg’s famous words stated during his acceptance speech while receiving the honor of a lifetime, his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While many jokingly made memes and poked fun at the fact that he thanked himself many times during his speech, Uncle Snoop meant what he said, and even made the phrase, ‘I Wanna Thank Me,’ the title of his 17th studio album which is due to release this summer through Empire. He already dropped the video for the track-check it out below.
The video beings with Snoop on the podium, giving his acceptance speech. It then jumps straight to the song and pans to visuals that reflect the dues he’s paid and his lifetime accomplishments. From his humble beginnings in Long Beach, to his rise to fame, along with the trouble he’s gotten into with the law, his life has truly been a roller coaster full of ups and downs that he has had to overcome. Through his perseverance and humility, and making sure to always give back more than he has received, Snoop will forever be riding for his family and community.
