Today marks one year that we lost Xxxtentacion after he 2018 untimely passing. The 20-year-old rapper was reportedly robbed and shot at after leaving a motorcycle shop in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The news broke after a disturbing video that captured the tragic event began circulating the internet, and the news was confirmed after the rapper passed away that same afternoon.

Although the rapper’s career was short lived, he leaves behind a noteworthy legacy. His successful career catapulted after his iconic “Look At Me” song made its debut on SoundCloud and later entering the Billboard Hot 100 in the top 40. The song shook the rap world and helped pave a new lane for SoundCloud rappers.

The album debuted 11 songs with Trippie Redd as the only featured artist. Their song “F*ck Love” landed at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200.

The young rapper went on later that year to sign a $6 million deal with Capitol Music Group. Six months later XXX dropped his second album ‘?’, which featured artists such as Joey Bada$$, PnB Rock, and Travis Barker.

His third studio album ‘Skins’ was released in December of 2018. The album was one of the projects Xxxtentacion was working on before his death, featuring artists Travis Barker and Kanye West.
