Marshmello has been lighting up the crossover between genres, edm and hip-hop.

“Light It Up” finds DJ Marshmello playing in a nightclub surrounded by a gang of beautiful women. Suddenly, he’s joined on stage between Chris and Tyga and the three literally light the club up!

The chorus is sung by both Breezy and T-Raw and goes:

It’s your birthday, go ‘n light it up (Light it up, ayy)
I’m drunk and I’m throwin’ middle fingers up (Fingers up, fingers)

The entire song is pretty catchy and is definitely something people can catch a vibe to this summer. This isn’t Mello’s first time dabbling in hip-hop though. The DJ previous linked up with Roddy Ricch for their track “Project Dreams”, him and Logic collabed on “Everyday” and he has three songs with rap duo SOBXRBE.
