Former model of Victoria’s Secret catwalk and America’s Next Top Model, Tyra Banks, is now launching a theme park called “Modelland” in Santa Monica.

This attraction will be created in the Santa Monica Place shopping mall to provide its visitors with a fantasy experience of modeling.

It’s been 10 years since Banks began to work on this project.

“I created Top Model to expand the definition of beauty based on my own pain of being told “no” that I couldn’t do something because I’m curvy or I’m black… With ‘Modelland’ I’m taking it 10 steps forward, giving people the opportunity to engage with the elusive world by opening it up to everyone.” said Banks.

Although the supermodel star says this will be a fantasy experience for the visitors, she has teased that there are Hollywood costume designers and stylists creating the clothing for the audience.

“Modelland” is expected to open in 2019 in Santa Monica, and Tyra hopes to expand globally to other cities.
