Chance The Rapper is taking a ‘sabbatical’ from music to study the Bible after becoming an uncle for the first time.

His brother Taylor Bennett welcomed his first son last month and Chance feels like it’s his responsibility to read it and be a better Christian leader for his growing family.

Anybody wanna read thru Galatians with me? It’s really short.

The rapper took to Instagram and said, “I’m going away to learn the Word of God which I am admittedly very unfamiliar with,” and later wrote, “I’ve been brought up by my family to know Christ but I haven’t taken it upon myself to really just take a couple days and read my bible.”

Chance also plans to use this break to get rid of his addiction to Nicotine.

He ended the post saying, “So don’t bother me, I’ll be back soon enough, with five or more books from the bible read. Oh yeah, and cigarette free.”
