Ella Mai has truly made a name for herself this year, and may have created the R&B album of the year.
Her self-titled debut album Ella Mai has been long awaited by fans and finally dropped. The 16-track album gives off major R&B vibes with features from iconic artists like John Legend, Chris Brown and H.E.R.
On the project are her well-known tracks, “Whatchamacallit,” and “Trip.” Her hit single “Boo’d Up” that was originally on her EP Ready, gained Mai a lot of attention this year, which also made it onto her album once again.
The London artist was found by DJ Mustard by doing covers on YouTube, then got signed to his 10 Summers label in 2016. Since then she has come out with three EP’s Time, Change and Ready. Not only has Mai been hard at work with her album, you can find her on Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic Tour till November.
