The highly anticipated “Queen” album was set to drop on August 10th but the rapper may have to set the release date back by a week. Nicki shared on twitter the reason for the possible delay, explaining that it is due to a sample on one of the songs that needs to be approved before dropping.
So there’s a record on #Queen that features 1of the greatest rappers of all time. Had no clue it sampled the legend #TracyChapman – do I keep my date & lose the record? Or do I lose the record & keep my date? 🤦🏽♀️ do we push #Queen back 1week? Ugh! I’m torn, y’all help🙏🏽😔

Nicki Minaj even asked fans for their advice on what she should on a twitter poll, that now has 53% that say to keep the record and push back the album date and 47% that say to lose the song and keep the same release date. This would be the second time the album will be set back, the initial drop date was set for in the beginning of summer on June 13th but was pushed to August 10th. Hopefully Tracy Chapman will contact Nicki to give the song the green light!
