Despite Mariah Carey being seen as a diva, she took some time out of her own show at Caesars Palace this past Saturday to give her backup dancer, Manwe, the spotlight.
Manwe was introduced to the audience by Carey and called up his boyfriend Sumeet. Carey fled the stage saying, “Manwe, we’ve been planning this for a very long time and you didn’t know about it so hopefully you are surprised in a very big way.” Sumeet continued with, “Manwe, it’s been a really crazy year,” as the crowd’s cheers drowned him out until he said, “Would you do me the honor?” as he dropped to one knee. Mariah Carey posted “He said yes!!!” on her Instagram sharing the video of the proposal. Congratulations Sumeet and Manwe!
