Kendrick has been hard at work busy promoting the Black Panther soundtrack as well as getting ready for the upcoming TDE Championship Tour but he will soon be getting a more personal look into his life.
Kendrick has linked up with Bandcamp Senior Editor/Pitchfork contributor Marcus J. Moore and Touchstone Books to create a cultural biography of Lamar’s life called The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignighted the Soul of Black America.
Moore said that the book is centered around Kendrick’s last 3 albums good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly and DAMN.
Moore is also partnering with people from Kendrick’s past in order to create a correct and detailed picture of his cultural impact. Moore expresses that Kendrick’s team is well aware of his intentions with writing the book and has been inspired by Kendrick’s contribution to music as a whole.
As of right now the book has no release date but we will definitely keep you updated on when it’s available to purchase.
Will you be buying a copy of this Kendrick biography when it drops? Let us know!
