Miss Minaj started off her acceptance speech thanking “some really influential lady in fashion”, Anna Winter and went on to thank many others in the fashion industry that gave her a shot early on in her career. Others mentioned by Nicki Minaj included Donnatella Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Alexander Wang and many others.
Nicki continued her speech adding that “We all have insecurities” and gave a huge shout-out to “all of the kick-ass women” and applauded those in the publics eye that win or fail. She added, “People think they know what it requires. People think they can do it. Everybody wants to walk in your shoes, until you put them in your shoes.”
Well said Nicki. We applaud your everyday fierceness and congratulate you on winning.
