Tonight MTV will air “Prescription for Change: Ending Americas Opioid Crisis” a documentary that explores the opioid crisis in America. 

The documentary is executive produced by Macklemore and features a discussion Macklemore has with President Obama about the addiction. Macklemore discusses his own experience with prescription drugs and Obama adresses solutions to the epidemic. 

Obama discusses in the video, “how we’ve dealt with the reduction of addiction and drugs has been oftentimes counterproductive. We need to shift a lot more resources into treatment but we’re still way short of where we need to be.“

Along with the documentary Macklemore released a song today titled “Drug Dealer” in which he talks about difficulties with addiction.
