Drake’s music seems to be everywhere these days, even in lawsuits.  Aspire Music Group is not happy with Cash Money and the current music situation over Drake’s music.

Aspire Music Group filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Cash Money for its portion of revenue Drake has created through his recordings.  Aspire has claimed Drake signed a recording deal with them in December 2008 and then signed a secondary deal with Cash Money.

The deal with Cash Money was that Aspire would receive one-third of the profits from any “commercial exploitation” of Drake recordings, per the claim.  To add onto that, Aspire is now declaring it wants Cash Money to give a full accounting of Drake’s earnings, pay Aspire its share of revenues, and pay for some damages.

The case gets has more complexities to it, but we can already tell Drake is one expensive artist.
